A tartan spring

The Highlands of Scotland is perhaps the most breathtaking place I have ever visited.

With wilderness around ever corner, beautiful old buildings and horned beasts, plenty of photo opportunities arouse.

We stayed in an old Lock Keepers cottage on the Caledonian Canal, which left us within easy reach of Loch Ness, Inverness, Ben Nevis, Fort Augustus and Fort William.

On the way home I managed to snap some pictures at Fort George before the weather changed and we were caught in a spring snowstorm, which left the poor baby lambs feeling a bit nippy!
